Beauty Executives on the Move in June 2022

This month brought big news from the strategics, with Sephora CEO and President Martin Brok leaving after two years, and Natura &Co announcing a group reorganization to be led by Fabio Barbosa. On the supply side of the industry, Firmenich and DSM announced the future leadership team post-merger. Sephora CEO and President Martin Brok is leaving after almost two years "due to a divergence of views," according to Women's Wear Daily. Chris de Lapuente, who served as Sephora's CEO for 10 years, will take over the role. De Lapuente currently serves as CEO of LVMH's Selective Retailing division, and also oversees perfume and cosmetics. Natura &Co announced a group reorganization in line with its strategic direction to increase the accountability of the individual business units and brands—Natura, Avon, The Body Shop, and Aesop. The company will transition to a simpler holding company structure. Roberto Marques will step down, retiring by year end with Fabio Barbosa assuming the role of Natura &Co's main executive to work on a new group structure.Function of Beauty announced Marianna Trofimova has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. She comes to the business after 20 years at L'Oréal where she held various global positions in the Consumer, Active Cosmetics, and Professional divisions, with the last two years as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications for Biolage and Garnier in the United States. Trofimova will report directly to Alexandra Papazian, Chief Executive Officer.Scotch Porter has expanded its senior leadership team with the strategic hire of Christian Chopra as brand President.
